
145 Indians, deported by the United States arrived from the deportation in Arizona to New Delhi in India on Thursday. They have been sent back to India for illegally migrating or staying with expired Visas in the US.
Crux of the Matter
The deportees had crossed into the USA illegally through the Mexico border. There are 142 men and 3 women among them.
These people paid hefty amounts, on average Rs. 25 lakhs, to agents for illegally moving to the US.
Most of these deportees are between the age of 20-30. The group had a majority of people belonging to Punjab, Haryana, and Gujarat.
Earlier this year, 311 Indians were deported from the US.
