India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued alert for heavy rainfall alert in Lakshadweep and off Karnataka – Kerala coasts till November 2 and has advised total suspension of fishing operations as a new cyclone brews in the Arabian Sea due to formation of fresh low-pressure area over Maldives-Comorin Area.
