Navigation with Indian Constellation (NavIC) based vehicle tracking system developed by India has been mandated to be equipped in all commercial vehicles. These trackers are being developed by as many as 75 companies and are already equipped into thousands of commercial vehicles.

India’s Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) will be able to incorporate this tracking system as it has been approved by the 3GPP (Third Generation Project Partnership).

The Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS), with an operational name of NavIC (acronym for Navigation with Indian Constellation) is an autonomous regional satellite navigation system that provides accurate real-time positioning and timing services. It covers India and a region extending 1,500 km around it, with plans for further extension.
