India And Arms From Russia On 2 July, 2020, the Indian government approved the purchase of 33 fighter aircraft from Russia. The purchase consists of 21 Russian MiG-29 and 12 Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter aircraft, which would cost India $2.43 billion.
