India-Vietnam Sign MoU’s for Education & Scientific Research

In an official visit of a high-ranking military delegation led by Phan Van Giang of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) to India from November 24-28 discussed various strategic issues.


Crux of the Matter


  1. Both nations agreed to co-operate in the fields of Education and Scientific Research and signed MoU’s.

  2. Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat met Vietnam Chief of the General Staff General Phan Van Giang and held discussion over the issues of mutual and strategic concern.

  3. Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh met General Phan Van Giang to discuss bilateral defence ties between the two nations.

  4. MoU’s were signed by CP Ramanaryan, Vice-Chancellor of Defence Institute of Advanced Technology and Lt General Nguyen Cong Dinh, President of Vietnam’s Military Technical Academy.
