
After the launch of the PSLV – C48, ISRO released a video clip recorded by the onboard cameras. The crisp clip shows the journey of the vehicle from the launch from Sriharikota to the separation of RISAT – 2BR1, other satellites.
Crux of the Matter
After the landmark 50th PSLV launch from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), ISRO launched a 2-minute long video depicting the journey of the RISAT – 2BR1.
The camera onboard of the RISAT – 2BR1 shows the opening scene of taking off in the azure sky to payload fairing of the satellites.
ISRO was also successful in deploying Radial Rib Antenna (RRA) of the RISAT – 2BR1 in the designated orbit.
“This complex technology involved unfurling and deployment of the 3.6m antenna which was folded and stowed during launch. The deployment was completed in 9mins 12s” said ISRO.
