Ideological Leanings

  1. In the 2016 elections, West supported Donald Trump and has claimed to be a supporter of the Republican party.

  2. He is a major personality of the anti-vax group. Recently, he claimed that the vaccine injectors “want to put chips inside” to make people unable to “cross the gates of heaven”.

  3. He describes himself as a “Devout Christian” and aims for anti-abortion steps if elected.

  4. He described the Democrat candidate Joe Biden as “not special”, and claimed that the democrats threatened him in 2016 and labels them as “racists”.

Controversies Critics have claimed that West’s candidacy has been designed by Trump to disrupt the votes of the black people. The situation of Democrats concerning votes of black people is in turmoil after their candidate Joe Biden recently said, “if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black”. West has denied the claims, stating how “that is a form of racism and white supremacy and white control… to assume that [him] running is [him] splitting the vote”. Some critics have claimed that West’s move would prove ineffective as his previous connection with Trump might push votes of black people towards the Democrats.
