
The second high speed Vande Bharat Express connecting New Delhi and Katra was flagged off today by Home Minister Amit Shah. Katra station in Jammu and Kashmir is the last stop for devotees travelling to Vaishno Devi.
Crux of the Matter
The first Vande Bharat Express was inaugurated last month and runs form Delhi to Varanasi.
The high speed train cuts down the travel time from 12 down to 8 hours.
The train which boasts comfortable interiors, CCTC cameras, Wi-Fi, GPS tracking and bio-vacuum toilets will be operational from Oct 5. It will run all days of the week barring Tuesday.
