PM Modi to Attend 11th BRICS Summit In Brazil

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will depart on 12th November for the 11th BRICS summit in Brasilia, Brazil, to be held on 13th – 14th November. The theme of the BRICS summit this year is “Economic Growth for an Innovative Future.”


Crux of the Matter


  1. Several international and economic issues are likely to be discussed between leaders. 

  2. Prime Minister will hold separate bilateral meetings with the Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Chinese Premier Xi Jinping.

  3. PM Modi will participate in the concluding ceremony of the BRICS Business Council.

  4. Closed session discussions are expected to be focused on challenges and opportunities for the exercise of national sovereignty in the contemporary world.

  5. On the conclusion of the summit, leaders will issue a joint declaration.
