BJP had promise ‘Nal se jal’ piped water for all scheme in their manifesto.
The government recently created a Jal Shakti Ministry.
The Jal Jeevan Mission further includes plans for water conservation, waste treatment, rain water harvesting and micro-irrigation schemes
Modi expressed hope that this program becomes a people’s movement akin to the Swacchh Bharat Abhiyan.
