Talks with Pak will be held only if it stops supporting terror. If talks are held with Pak it will now be on PoK.
Rajnath Singh (Defence Minister, India)
Crux of the Matter
After the abrogation of Article 370 – a step taken to integrate Jammu and Kashmir further with India, Pakistan has been trying to internationalise the issue.
Pakistan has a long history of sponsoring terrorism in J&K as part of their asymmetric warfare strategy of ‘Bleeding India by a Thousand Cuts.’
India has maintained that talks with Pak are not possible as long as terrorism is there.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had recently mentioned that India may reconsider its no first use nuclear doctrine in the future depending on circumstances.
In another strong statement, he says that the only issue that needs to be resolved now is Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.
