Spotlight on China’s Legal Responsibilities Under Article 1 of the International Law Commission’s 2001, nations all over the world are responsible for their internationally wrongful acts. Even if it didn’t create a global pandemic intentionally, China’s failure to transparently share information with WHO in accordance with International Health Regulations constitutes an early breach of these obligations.

India’s Moves Throughout the Coronavirus crisis, India has maintained a moral high ground with respect to China. India has helped China with medical supplies and accepted their diplomatic overtures to not officially stigmatize China when communicating about the Coronavirus. Nonetheless, India has been cautious in accepting medical supplies from China while also putting in place measures to make sure that China doesn’t gobble up Indian companies during the COVID-19 driven economic recession.
